Last updated: October 2026. ProfilScan ("we", "the site") provides a tool to view public information from Instagram profiles. This page explains what data we handle.
We only display information that Instagram already makes publicly available (username, name, follower and following counts, post count, bio, verification status and public profile photo). We do not access private accounts' posts or any private data.
We do not require you to register or log in, and we do not ask for personal information. Our server temporarily logs your IP address and the username you look up, solely to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and to operate the service. Looked-up usernames may be cached for a short time and listed in our sitemap to improve performance and search indexing.
We may use the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies or collect data under their own privacy policies:
• Google reCAPTCHA — to protect the site from automated abuse. Subject to
Google's Privacy Policy and Terms.
• Google AdSense (if ads are shown) — Google and its partners may use cookies to
serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad
personalization in your Google account settings.
If you are a profile owner and want your cached page removed, contact us and we will remove it from our cache and sitemap.
